DOING SOME SERVER WORK – I WILL NOT BLOG UNTIL ITS DONE – IT SHOULD BE FINISHED TOMORROW AFTERNOON – LIKE THE NEW LAYOUT??
I finally have two seconds of free time and then it gets ripped from my arms only to be wasted by otherwise meaningless events. /sigh/ I haven’t blogged in two days and feel really bad about it … dare I say that life itself is preventing me from not having one? I’ll write tomorrow, I swear. all right?
I am spending some time reading a book I’m told “I have to read” (I’ll admit, it’s pretty good) called Battle Royale (Japanese) … I read one line last night that that I thought was funny (in a non-haha sort of way), so I’ll quote it here for your enjoyment:
[setting: this boy's best friend (girl) is about to be shot by another classmate and he said to her, "I love you so much" (which was a really cheezy line)]

I really do need to get a life… every time I post stupid things, I tell the world I’m unsatisfied with who I am and insecure in myself and want nothing more than acceptance from others. Unfortunately, I haven’t stopped long enough to see that the means by which I’m trying to obtain this may be counterproductive. I am going to stop posting meaningless and offensive slurs and do something constructive with my life. After all, my site is better than scott’s, and has five times as more visitors. See, that’s a big problem with running KDE or something normal folks know how to use. My brother can’t tell the difference between me instant messaging and matrix code, but I always turn on my locked Xscreensaver before leaving the room anyway. I mapped it to one of the media buttons on my keyboard. Not really secure, though, since a Ctrl+Alt+F1 will bring them to my terminal where X was started at, and with a Ctrl+z they regain control of that terminal. The webcam’s cool, by the way. |
