dumpage… dumpage? What the heck is that supposed to mean? No clue. I only write these blogs, I don’t have to know what they mean. Anyway, I arrived back from my ‘vacation’ a few hours ago. The car ride was long but not quote so tedious this time. I’m going to try to give a recap of the trip highlights without being boring, repetetive, or redundant. However, I have a feeling I’m about to feel miserably. After I address the various issues and topics from the past days, I’ll write about today, and some ideas and thoughts I have. How interesting!
However, first, a screenshot. I’m putting this here partially because I haven’t given you all a screenshot in two months, and partially because I wanted to add some color to this incredibly bland start page. So, here ya’ go. Click it to make it bigger ^_- Oh, the glory of multiple monitors. Now, for those of you who talk to me, when I say “hold on I’m busy” you know what I’m talking about!
Yeah, so, I watched a movie on the way to the vacation. Hackers 2 – Operation Takedown. I’ll admit, the movie was great from a humor standpoint. I audibally laughed several times. If you’re into computers and/or hacking stuff, you should check it out. It didn’t have a really strong plot or much actual technoligy in it to make it worthwhile otherwise.
Thanksgiving dinner… who said WHAT?! I don’t know why I’m mentioning this it’s not really big but I can’t think of anything else to put here ^_^ It’s one of those embarrassing family moments that you can do little more than laugh at. So, what happened? Well everyone was around our Thanksgiving night family dinner. My family, their parents, and a friend, so there were a lot of people I’d say. Somehoe the topic arose of how two people met. Then, it talked about age differences. “why, when you’re in highschool, a guy 7 years older than a girl is crazy, but when you get older it’s nothing!” Then it got turned to whether or not it’s a bad thing to date young with the girl so much younger. Then something came up and my grandmother said “well no guy would want a girl a lot older than he is!”… pause… everyone turned their head and looked at me. ::blink:: It’s like, hey! what’s all that about! sheesh. ANYWAY, moving right along…
oh THIS is funny in a stupid scott-like way… So I get an IM from a guy asking about a tech school in Orlando Florida. He’s like “do you know any info about this school?” and I thought about it and said “no, but I have a friend who’s thinking of going there” and he’s like “oh that’ll be great”. I IM the guy I was talking to being like “hey man, would you be willing to help out a friend of mine asking about this school? He’s pretty newbish” etc etc. Then he’s like “dude, are you on weed? this is my screen name” I’m like “what?” “you gave me TA4 last night” … “oh yeah” XD I’m an idiot. proven. once again.
New quotes record! This is the first day I’ve posted more than 10 quotes in a single 24 hour period. Impressive. I got a lot of dumb IMs tonight =oD You should check it out. Have a laugh! If you’re on there, no big deal, no one cares. Look at the comical side of it. Unlike the mostly boring people who IM me, those who make the quotes page bring a smile to my face!
Whoa! Scott! A blind Asian woman! -_- don’t start with that again. Ok, so, today I watched 2 Asian films One of them was decent. The other ok. The first one (pictured first) is called “The Eye”. This film is of a Chinese woman who has been blind since birth. She takes the oppurtunity to have an experimental operation to try to restore her eyesight, and it works. She’s slowly able to see again. It was awesome to see how they portrayed the first few hours of sight for a blind person. She couldn’t identify objects by looking at them until she touched them. Also, a mirror was fascinating to her. Anyway, there’s one big catch. With her new eye, she sees dead people. Yeah. And they scare her all day and give her nightmares all night. It was a ‘horror’ movie and didn’t have a whole lot of plot. However, a good chunk of the movie happened in Taiwan, which made it really cool. The writing was neat to see, the language was fun to listen to, and Taiwanese peoples’ eyes are so pretty XD Ok, anyway, back to the point. In the end, she’s near an explosion, and scrap metal blasts into her face blinding her again, and now that she can’t see anymore she’s happy. The end. I’d rate the movie a 4 out of 10. However, simply because it invloved a blind Asian woman (which is one of my ‘things’… don’t ask) that’s at least worth another point to bring a decent 5 out of 10! Now, to pause with a diff paragraph just to even up this post. So, the second paragraph was added in later, just skip over it and come back to it if you’re easialy confused.
AIM Irony X_x …it’s starting to really get to me again… my raw (html sripped) gaim logs today grew by 9,500 words in the few hours I’ve been home. However, only a small handfull were good! By good, I mean people who I liked talking with. It’s getting really annoying. People these days are IMing me only for compter help. Now, some tech support or questions, sure, I’ll do that. But ”friends” IMing me and making 30 secs of small talk to try to soften me up to a computer question? That’s a pain. And the worst is when you really want to talk to someone and they just totally ignore you after 2 lines. It’s like… If you want to talk, let’s talk. If you don’t, say so! But don’t just… not answer! That sounds like something I would do! ^_^
Oh yeah, one more film about insanity! Yeah, I know, I can relate to this one right? ^_^ Well, the next film I watched was called “dolls”. It was really sad. Basically, here’s the plot for ya. A girl and guy are perfect for eachother, met at a young age, grew up as awesome friends, and planned to get married. However,
the guy’s parents forced him to marry a girl that would help their family status. The day of the wedding, the ‘ex’ tried to commit suicide by overdosing on some meds. She didn’t die, but she ruined her brain. She went insane. The guy heard this at his weddding before he was getting married. He ran away from the wedding and didn’t tell anyone he was leaving. He went to find her in the mental hospital. He found her, completely incoherant. She didn’t know who he was, she couldn’t talk, she seemed to stare into space… the guy sneaked her out of the place and they drove to a parking lot far away from town. They parked there, and he just watched her as she looked blankly out the window. This happened for days. Weeks. Months. Then they set off and wandered together. Basically at the end, she never regained her sanity, and they were both homeless =o, It was pretty interesting up until the half way point, but nothing really good near the end. He ended up giving up his life and everything he had to be around this girl. Sorta like that true love thing was there all the time, but she didn’t see it, and now he’s showing it, and she’ll never see it… /shrug/ I dunno. If it’d have finished sad, I’d have loved it. If it’d had finished happy, I’d have loved that too. But just leaving you hanging, not resolving the problem at all? I don’t know… It did keep me thinking long after I finished it. It’s a good movie, I just didn’t like it. I give it a 3 out of 10.
wrapping up… People tell me that these blogs are too long. Well they can blow it out their eas. (ears, with new yorkish accent) Typing to myself if theraputic and I like to do it =o) If you don’t want to read it, then don’t read it! Jeez /rolls eyes/

Otherwise, we are doing what campaigns are supposed to do before a debate: lowering expectations. That is difficult in my case, as we are already just where a campaign would want to be. Going for me are, let’s see, age 94, emphysema, arthritis, nearly deaf, no experience debating, didn’t read the newspapers this morning. All that is finally an asset! Love to you all! |
