putty. grr. I brought it this time on a floppy because I didn’t want to take any longer than I needed to burning a cd of it. It turns out they have executable use from floppies disbled X_x I have to burn a cd of putty (again) and lug that around with me. I just checked and I’m lucky. All these library computers have CDRW drives. Pittiful. But useful. I have some of those 212mb pocket cds at home that’re cdrw’s. I can burn putty and whatever other files I need to on them, then run it from that. Idiots. They block executable use from a floppy but not a cdrom. Why? Some school books come with cds that are ‘multimedia’ and of course, students need to be able to run them. I’m going to research the offense consequences around here. It’d be kinda fun to do something ‘unique’ on the last day of school. LIKE INSTALL PUTTY ON EVERY FREAKING COMPUTER IN THE LIBRARY!!!! /shrug/ Ok. I’m out.

As a side note, AimPoo is developing very quickly. I think I’ll have it done possibly tonight! More likely tomorrow. However there’s a chance I’ll hit a snag and it’ll be longer. Ok, just thought I’d keep ya up to date.

In fact, just forget the idea alltogether; the amount of work it would take to create a functional spoofer really isn’t worth it.

IP spoofing is a route to investigate then… But admitedly, that requires some ugly raw packet manipulation…

I doubt 4 threads would “hammer your connection”… Assuming you have broadband that is. I wouldnt think that there is much data going through.

I’ve tried. oscar picks up the same ip on the multiple threads and returns *FALSE* “sn suspended” replies, which’ll really mess ya’ up… I think we’re going to be able to use threads, but litely. A new thread launched every 3.2 seconds whether or not the first one succeeded looks like it’s going to be the way to go with the most login attempts with the fewest failures (a little less than 1%)

A suggestion for the rate of attempts per minute; you can probabaly at least quadruple that by using 4 threads. More than 4 and it may or may not hammer your connection…
