hey, here I am again. Suprised? Yeah, well, you were warned. So, let’s see, what’s up these days. Something I should mention is that, yes, I’m getting organized! No, I’m not cleaning my room or rearranging my desk. I’m clearning out my fileserver and backing up inportant files. You might think “so what”, but then again, if I spend a few hours a day doing it, it’ll take weeks! I instantly backup good things as I download them while slowly working my way back backuping old stuff. To try and keep things clean, I’m going to put movies I download in a special “moving” folder on my website. You can go there and see the last months worth of downloaded stuff. I will also carry around those files on cds in a small 24 cd case. If anyone wants anything, they can get them while they’re there. Once the month is up, they’re deleted, and the cds are put in my 200 cd case for permanent storage in case I decide to watch it again. Alphabetical? no way. Also, I’ll be like a library. People can borrow cds that’re in my cd case if they want to copy them. They MUST return the originals within 2 days, or I go after them and chew ‘em out =op That’s the plan, we’ll see how it goes.
Today, I saw an AEWSOME movie. I read about it at sharereactor.com under the dvd rips section. It is chinese, made in 2002. I downloaded the film and there are no subtitles – I had to go to a subtitling website and download the subtitles. They work awesome in mplayer, I’m not sure how to get subtitles to work in windows computers. Anyway, the movie I watched was called Infernal Affairs, and I thought it was really cool. It was an hour and a half, but it somehow seemed a lot longer. The plot was great! It was an intense action movie, but there wasn’t a single gun until the very end! It was one of those mind movies, where the plot is layed out in your head without any need for serious action to back it up. From all the anime I watch, the asian cinematography felt pretty comfortable, but for a first timer you’ll notice the differences from western films (like camera angles, far away shots of the back of peoples heads as they talk compared to america’s “I have to see their mouth close up at all times while they talk” angles) I’d give it a pg-13 rating in america since there was some pretty (mild, but real looking) deaths and one deadly gsw in the head to top it off. I don’t know why I liked it so much, it might just be the mood I was in when I started it, but I suggest you check out this movie. It has my seal of approval!
